Pulau Tinggi, also known as Tinggi Island is a large sparsely inhabited island, which rises 2000 ft (600 m) above sea level off the east coast of Johor, Malaysia. It was nicknamed the "General's Hat Island" by Chinese seamen hundreds of years ago. It is located about 20 nautical miles (37 km) southeast of Mersing, on the east coast of Johor.

Its surrounding water is rich with exotic marine life and beautiful underwater flora fringing its coral reefs, providing a breathtaking underwater view for divers. The island is blessed with natural fresh water and sheltered harbour, which explains its role as a stopover point for traders in the olden days. Besides, the resorts have swimming pool, meeting rooms and entertainment facilities for visitors who prefer indoor activities. The outdoor activities include snorkelling, scuba diving, canoeing and fishing. There are a lot of activities for tourists to choose and it was a good place to visit. Tourists can relax and enjoy their holidays in such a nice place and beautiful scene.
